The Fort Lauderdale Strikers would like to reach out to people in South Florida by opening up its training facility, Fort Lauderdale Stadium, for a number of different activities that involve the community.
The facility opened in 1962 and served as the spring training home for the New York Yankees until 1995, then it became the spring home to the Baltimore Orioles from 1996 to 2009. It is now the Home of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
The Fort Lauderdale Strikers would like to work with the community to host events at the Stadium. Currently, there are various upcoming festivals as well as the Strikers 3v3 Tournament on May 14th, 2011. We would like to extend an invitation to those who would like to host events such as training camps, concerts, charity events, festivals, and much more here at Fort Lauderdale Stadium.
The stadium and its associated practice fields have hosted several national teams for training including:
