The Strikers are preparing to take on the NASL in the 2013 Spring Championship, but before we begin, we need to do a little spring cleaning this Saturday, March 23, at historic Lockhart Stadium.
The team is calling on every Strikers’ fan willing to roll up their sleeves to join together as we restore, renew and revitalize the home of soccer in South Florida for more than 50 years.
The public is invited to attend to help the team restore designated areas of historic Lockhart Stadium by painting and other tasks.
Skilled team leaders will be assigned to manage small groups and to assist fans in their assigned roles.
Regardless of what time fans arrive, there will be opportunities to help out by joining in with groups already engaged in a project.
So, join our supporters groups, Flight 19 and the Ultras, along with the South Florida community as Strikers players, staff and volunteers come together to paint and landscape Lockhart Stadium.
The event takes place Saturday, March 23, at historic Lockhart Stadium and is scheduled from 8am to 5pm with a break from 12-1pm for lunch. Fans are encouraged to come to the stadium throughout the day as tasks will be assigned as volunteers arrive.
