The Strikers began their day off this morning with an aggressive and intense training session. Today’s focus would be on the team’s agility/speed, ball/possession, and crossing and finishing. As Training Camp continues, each player is becoming more comfortable with their teammates, coaches, weather, and the overall practice style of the team.
-Training started off with a warm up and stretch then straight into speed and agility training while the goalkeepers broke away to train separately
-Field players were split into groups where they worked on speed training using agility ladders, cones, and hurdles.
-Fitness levels are on the rise with each training session and there is a good level of banter growing within the team.
-After speed and agility training the squad was broken into three teams with two teams playing 6v6 while the third team spread around the edges of the field to provide target players.
-Target players were very involved serving several quality crosses into the box with multiple goals coming from their services.
-All three teams looked very strong with all of them creating chances and moving the ball around the field very well.
