The Fort Lauderdale Strikers finished the 2012 NASL regular season in fifth place and will travel to face the fourth-place Carolina Railhawks on Saturday, Sept. 29, at WakeMed Soccer Park at 7:00pm.

The Strikers Watch Party at Duffy’s Sports Grill in Fort Lauderdale will officially begin one hour prior to the game and will be held on the Strikers Sundeck at the restaurant.

Playoff tickets would be the same price as regular season tickets in all sections. Current season ticket holders would also receive free parking for the game as all parking passes would still be valid for the post season.

As a special for all fans attending the watch party, 2012 team merchandise will be available for purchase on site and will be on sale for 20% off.

Duffy’s Sports Grill is located at 1804 Cordova Road in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. 

The first round consists of a single game with the winner advancing to the semifinal series. If the game is tied after 90 minutes, the teams will play two 15-minute overtime periods and then proceed to penalty kicks, if necessary. A victory for the Strikers would see the team return to South Florida for the first leg of the semifinal series on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7:30pm at Lockhart Stadium.

Should the Strikers win Saturday’s match, tickets for the game on Oct. 6 will be available for purchase in person at the Strikers’ Watch Party held at Duffy’s in Fort Lauderdale as well as at the First Annual Las Olas Oktoberfest at the Riverside Hotel Lawn hosted by Fritz & Franz Bierhaus. The Oktoberfest is taking place all weekend from 11am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday and from noon to 10pm on Sunday.

NASL Playoffs

Six teams have qualified for the 2012 NASL Playoffs. The regular season champion and the second-place team receive a bye to the semifinal round. The Quarterfinal round is a single match, hosted by the higher seed. The Semifinal and Final rounds will be a two-match home and home series with the winner determined on aggregate goals. In the event overtime is required, teams will play two 15 minute overtime periods and then proceed to penalty kicks, if necessary.
