2013: The Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced local product Gonzalo De Mujica signed with the team on January 31, 2013.
De Mujica made his professional debut as a substitute in the Strikers 3-1 defeat to the San Antonio Scorpions on May 18. He started his first match for the club on May 26, a 1-0 away victory against FC Edmonton.
Amateur: Mujica has played with Orlando City U-23 of the United Soccer League (USL) in 2012, the FC JAX Destroyers of the USL in 2011, Schulz Academy of the USL in 2010 and Orlando City (formerly Orlando Kraze) of the USL in 2009.
College: Mujica was a four-year starter for the Stetson University Hatters in DeLand, Fla., from 2007-2011. As a freshman, Mujica earned Atlantic Sun All-Freshman honors and had five goals and seven assits for the Hatters. As a sophomore, Mujica earned Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team honors while starting all 20 games for Stetson.
As a junior, he again earned All-Academic Team honors while also earning a spot on the Second Team All-Atlantic Sun Team. Mujica finished his junior year with five goals, three assists and assisted on a game-winning goal in the Atlantic-Sun semifinals against Jacksonville University. Mujica earned First Team Atlantic-Sun, Third Team NSCAA All-South Region, Third Team NSCAA Scholar All-American and First Team NSCAA Scholar All-South Region honors as a senior, scoring five goals and leading the Hatters in assists with seven.
High School: Mujica graduated from Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Fla. His high school soccer honors included being named the BCAA All-Star Team MVP and Herald All-Broward Team.
