Fort Lauderdale Strikers media credentials are granted only to individuals on specific assignment with a legitimate working presence at a game, training session, or event. Credentials are non-transferable and the bearer must adhere to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Media Policy. Any unauthorized use of a credential subjects the bearer to ejection from the stadium.
The Strikers reserve the right to seize credentials and/or eject its wearer for the following actions:
Requesting autographs from players or coaches
Taking photos with players or technical staff
Misuse of credential for family or friends
Conducting of unauthorized interviews (see interview section below)
Unprofessional behavior (Cheering in the press box, consumption of alcoholic beverages, failure to abide by posted rules, etc.)
The weekly training schedule is sent from the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Communications Department to media on the club's distribution list. Please contact Kartik Krishnaiyer (954-881-5644 or firstname.lastname@example.org) if you wish to be added to the distribution list.
Most training sessions are open to the media. Members of the media must contact the Strikers Communications Department at least twelve hours in advance of a training session if they plan to attend training. Please park and enter Lockhart Stadium from the north side of Lockhart Stadium (Gate C). Media must present their 2016 season credential to gain entrance. Media are permitted to take photos and video during training. Head Coach and General Manager Caio Zanardi and players are available for interviews for a 15 minute period following training.
Interviews: Any and all interview requests must go through the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Communications Department. Media members are not permitted to contact players, coaches, or front office staff directly at any time.
Press conference: Following the match, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Communications Department members will direct members of the media to the postgame press conference room, located on the North side of Lockhart Stadium adjacent to the home locker room. After a brief cool-down period, the head coach of the visiting team and one star player will answer questions in a formal press conference setting, followed by the head coach and star player(s) of the Strikers.
Mixed Zone: A designated location near the locker rooms will be used as a mixed zone for media immediately following the press conference. A Fort Lauderdale Strikers Communications Department member will be present at the location to assist all postgame interviews for TV, radio, and print. If a media member wishes to speak to a player please notify a member of the Communications Department.
Locker Rooms: Media members are not permitted inside any team or officials locker rooms under any circumstance. No photography, audio or video recording may be collected in a locker room at any time. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the seizure of a credential and ejection from the stadium.
