Strikers U-20 takes the field at Youth Soccer Classic

The tournament will run between December 15th-18th

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Monday, December 12, 2016) – The Fort Lauderdale Strikers continue with their community outreach efforts and its commitment to increase their relationship with local fans by participating in the upcoming CASA Youth Soccer Classic.

 

The tournament, organized by Caribbean Americas Soccer Association (CASA) & the city of Lauderhill, will be played in the Lauderhill Sports Complex from December 15th through the 18th. The tournament will feature local talent as well as international teams, specifically from Jamaica and Barbados. Seven teams will be divided into two groups and play at least three games, competing to play the Final on Sunday, December 18th at 5:00 PM. 

 

The Strikers U-20 team will play three games from Thursday through Saturday:

 

Thursday, December 15th

CASA vs Strikers U-20 at 8:30 PM

 

Friday, December 16th

West Florida Flames vs Strikers U-20 at 7:30 PM

 

Saturday, December 17th

Barbados vs Strikers U-20 at 7:30 PM

 

The participation in this tournament will also be useful to evaluate and develop younger players. Giuseppe DePalo will take the command as Head Coach of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers U-20 accompanied by Victor Cardoso as Assistant Coach and Fitness Coach Anthony Hazelwood.
