Team of the Week Spots for Chin and Picault


The NASL Team of the Week is selected based on performances each weekend and features the best XI players in their respective positions.

Here is this week’s Best XI:


Scott Goodwin, Carolina RailHawks – Had several key saves against New York to earn his second shutout victory this year



Lance Laing, FC Edmonton – Jamaican controlled the defensive line, while assisting on the first two goals for Edmonton

Connor Tobin, Carolina RailHawks – Was impressive on defense in the shutout victory against New York

Kevin Venegas, Minnesota United FC – Contributed to offense and defense through the game, while assisting on the opening goal



Pablo Cruz, Atlanta Silverbacks – Solid in the midfield and scored his third goal of the year

Shawn Chin, Fort Lauderdale Strikers – Won many battles and defended well, while creating scoring opportunities for Fort Lauderdale

Junior Sandoval, Atlanta Silverbacks – Honduran set the pace in the midfield and scored Atlanta’s fourth goal

Ty Shipalane, Carolina RailHawks – South African scored his third goal of the year and second game-winner against New York



Fafà Picault, Fort Lauderdale Strikers – Notched the game-winner goal while continually causing havoc in the Tampa Bay defense

Daryl Fordyce, FC Edmonton – Northern Ireland native closed out the scoring for Edmonton with a 20-yard rocket for his sixth tally of the year

Christian Ramirez, Minnesota United FC – Added two more goals to his league-leading nine in the victory over Ottawa
